PETALING JAYA: The Finance Ministry (MoF) is inviting members of the public to give their feedback on the “Framework for Financing Sustainable Development Initiative” public consultation paper (PCP) for Budget 2023.
The PCP is the last consultation paper to be published in preparation for Budget 2023, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
“Among other things, the PCP is published with the objective of ensuring that the framework for financing sustainable development is comprehensive and practical in the efforts to achieve the net-zero greenhouse gas emission target by as early as 2050.,
“This is in line with the objectives outlined in the 12th Malaysia Plan and fulfilling the nation’s commitment at the global level,” said the MoF, Bernama reported.
Members of the public can give their feedback by logging on to https://budget.mof.gov.my/bajet2023/kertaskonsultasi/ before or by Sept 22, 2022
The MoF has published six PCPs in total as part of its efforts to ensure that the annual budget preparation is transparent and involves all parties.
The feedback received will be used to draft an annual budget that meets the needs of the people and is in line with the country’s socio-economic development policy.
